Thanks, James, and yes the vase was a very transparent and thin walled vessel, so the dark "hooks" in the ripples are actually fringes from the two sets of "ripples". A little dark, yes, I can never seem to get images light enough here on UF. Good to see your note. Anson

So we are looking at the contours of the vase itself? Your title is well chosen. Some may complain that it's too dark, but I'm not bothered by the darker images (since I suspect printed larger it would not appear that way).
