ahhh I'm speechless. Now THAT looks spectacular! The whites of the eyes are almost glowing! I played with for a couple hrs in the adobe photoshop, with trying many things. I realize there are so many things you can do, I just need to learn them. Thank you so much for taking the time Rebecca. Obviously I love it! Thanks. Michele

Hi Michele, Rebecca again. Downloaded your B+W portrait to have a play with, hope you don't mind. Here is what I came up with by adjusting the contrast and light, also a little sharpening and dodging. Let me know what you think. Cheers

Hi Michele! Nice, I like this much better.I agree with Clive that she needs a little oomph. I have also found that even just adding a little contrast and adjusting the lighting can help. Thanks for letting me know that you had re-posted this, I think it's a beautiful portrait, she is gorgeous and this lets her expression show through a lot better. Congrats, Cheers, Rebecca

Hi Michele, Nice picture but....to me the skin tone is too grey. Converting a digital color image to B&W isn't as easy at it may seem. There are many ways in which this can be done. I just convert it to greyscale then adjust with levels then curves (once you change it to greyscale go back to image/mode and turn back to RGB).I then may use brightness & contrast or other command, depends on how the image looks.
