Doyle, thanks for your comments on this image they are appreciated. Might be a tad of a tilt thought I had caught it but afraid not, oh well next time. SF's Rodin collection was mostly made from the collection of Spreckle family, especially Alma.

Wonderful. A. Rodin's fine work . . . The Thinker. A work of art even more famous than the place! All totaled, there are twenty-five castings of the enlarged version of Rodin's The Thinker. Of these, less than ten were cast and patinated during his lifetime. Two of these early examples can currently be found n Paris - one of which is directly over the Rodin gravesite. One of the last Rodin-supervised casts can be found in Cleveland, Ohio, where it sits directly in front of the Cleveland Museum of Art. This cast was acquired in 1917, just after the Museum opened to the public. The twenty remaining castings of The Thinker were done posthumously.
A good image and a unique POV . . . especially with the silhouetted man in front . . . introspective and poignant considering the subject. The B&W works well here . . . but I think it might have had more impact if the shot had been tilted a tad - (to my eye) it's seems to have a slight horizontal tilt. Other than that . . . I would say this was a very nice image! :)
