A lovely nature shot, Chelsea. I know from experience these images are hard to get. I haven't succeeded yet. Well done. Cheers, Ann.

That's a wonderful photo, Chelsea. Very few people ever see a hummers nest let alone have an opportunity to photograph a mother feeding her chick. By the way - why do hummers hum?

I just saw this one, and am really impressed with it. What a capture! The technical details might not be perfect, but you did an admirable job catching the hummingbird in a way that is not often seen. Your patience paid off nicely. I'm really amazed!!

A very cool capture Chels! Sometimes the subject captured outweighs technical details and this image is a perfect example of that. I would love to have an image like this. Great work dear!

Thankyou Tony. Yes, it was a difficult location to shoot, the sun came around at an angle that wasn't lighting up the nest area, and the branches and twigs around it made it impossible to get a clear view from the other side. The mother comes in about once every 20 minutes or so to feed, then it's *blurp* in about 5 seconds, and she's gone again. I'm happy to have at least done this well with it. Oh well...maybe next year...

Great moment well composed and captured given the poor lighting.A real shame that it lacks critical sharpness.Maybe a touch of flash would have worked here but......I bet it was massively difficult just getting this image!Hope you get another chance to photograph humming-birds. All the best, Tony
