I was intending the positive-negative aspect, but that is what is so interesting about photography, it is open to interpretation. Just got lucky with the parallel nature of the stamens, doesn't usually happen that way. Made some suggestions about your daughter-granddaughter picture. What a doll! Need to see more of her. Our little 6 mo old looks like a miniature Dom DeLouise! Regards. Anson

The contrasts of the black and red and the DOF make this eye catching. There is a gantle flow from the left to right bringing one'sd eye right to the ends which look like little trays ready to accept sunlight. It has a positive, optimistic feeling. When I look at this, I see it as being divided in half vertically which appears to represent negative and positive situations that are part of life. That may not be what you were intending, but that is what it says to me. Pretty.

This is a true red blossom, Mary, about as red as you can get. About the same color as a Ferrari automobile. Only Italian ones are this color. Thanks for stopping by. Anson

I don't think Pagoda plants grow here in the north. So, you've shown me something new.

Thanks.

This is so rich and beautiful Anson. The closeness and that colour unique.

As you may know, Bob, pagoda plant blossoms are stacked up in multiple bunches of about 40-60 blossoms each, so keeping the image monochromatic takes care of itself. Glad you like this one, kind of reminds me of your "Rose-one" which I admire. Thanks for looking and dropping a note to me, and come more often. Anson

Very nicely monocromatic image. The cropping allowing the stamens to stretch over the homo cromatic background seems peaceful.

I wish I had started in photography in a serious way at your age, Cory. You have some interesting B/W work in your portfolio, a good rapport for people work. Keep it growing. Film is fun and just as powerful as digital, maybe moreso. Glad you like this little floral. Last picture taken yesterday in a cousin's garden in 95 deg heat with water all over the camera. Thanks for the encouragement, Cory. Believe it or not it is special coming from a younger photographer. Anson

Lovely closeup, my friend. Great description, too, gives it a nice story.

This image is almost exactly as it came from the camera, a little contrast and brightness adjusting. So happy you like it. You have a very fine portfolio; keep it growing. Anson

It's also dark green, joanna, but I understand your point. This is the color God gave this flower. Just enjoy. Thanks for commenting and hope to hear from you again. Anson
