About This was shot on the Way home from Kim and my trip to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon Yesterday.

The Vermillion Cliffs are Located on Highway 67 about 20 Miles past Lee's Ferry.
I seen this shot and couldn't find a place to pull over. When I did I was REALLY happy because the Angle I got produced two Rainbows.

This shot was hand held with a Cir Polarizer.
Hope you like it.

Like it--I lOVE it. It is an awesome rainbow shot. This summer we were driving and I glanced to my right and saw this beautiful rainbow over a little lake. I wish so much that could have stopped safely and had a look. It is in my head, but I sure wish it were on my monitor. Your shot is terrific. I can almost see the pot of gold at the end.

What an awesome capture Sam! The colors from the rainbows are nice and vibrant and the overall lighting to this setting is really great for the atmosphere. Top notch capture, excellent work!

I can't get over how great the colors look on the rainbow, especially the one closest to the field. Great when view in the pano setting.

At first I thought the horizon line was off to, but when you look at the rainbow you can tell it's the field.

I know where's Lee Ferry is so have a good idea of where this image was taken.

Beautiful and what luck having two rainbows in the same image.

Beautiful and so full of life! To get one, never mind two rainbow brilliant! It is also the colour of the ground I like.

Two rainbows - great catch - like the lighting and the atmosphere/mood of the whole shot. So glad you did not try and straighten out the horizon - as the land and cliffs do slant and angle the way you shot them. Well seen. Robin is correct - looks really great in the pano. Now if you would just post your North Rim #1 in pano......

Hi Sam,

Spectacular sight, and a great setting. I really like the light in this one, not only brightening up the foreground, but also adding some texture to the rocks in the left background.

I'm convinced the field itself is slightly slanted, but it does create the impression of the photo being slightly tilted to the casual observer, if you see what I mean. Great shot!

Cheers,

hugo
