This is a wondeful portrait. This version really makes those fabulous eyes stand out. He looks so wet and maybe cold. It is tempting to wrap him in a blanket. Marvelous. Congratulations on SC.

Well done to you my dear Andree, a well deserved SC award, even although I love the colour version more. Having said that this is a very well executed conversion into these eyecatching mono tones. The child's eyes are even more piercing than in the colour version and I love the shy posture that you have captured which of course is missing in the colour shot. This is excellent work sweetie, it truely is but I STILL think the first has a touch more excellence. Great work Andree.......All the best....Ray

Great tones in this image. The eyes seema bit out of place to me...like they're too bright, but it could just be my eyes playing with me.

Andree, this is superb work! Those eyes are magnetic. The subject looks so wet and cold, makes you want to bundle him/her up in a blanket. very emotive.
The original coloured version is beautiful and the close crop exaggerates the beautiful blue eyes. But in this version those eyes take on a mystical quality. I love seeing more of that wet hair, it somehow makes the child look more vulnerable and evokes those motherly instincts in me. Great work. Cathy
