About
This is such a wonderful place the escape the heat from the desert below. It is also a wonderful place to experience some great late 19th century hospitality. PS for cropping and resizing only. Sunny 16 rule applied here.
Thanks for taking the time to look thru my portfolio. As you may have noticed, I'm one of the few remaining usefilm contributors that use film for the majority of my work. Once upon a time... (sound familiar?) someone that knows considerably more about photography than I ever will, determined that on a bright sunny day you can almost always get a great exposure by setting your aperture to f/16 and setting your shutter speed to the reciprocal of your film speed (ISO 100 would be 1/125 sec). Todays color negative films have such a great exposure latitude that you can bracket + or - 2 full stops. Give this a try sometime. I haven't tried this with my digital cameras yet, but since you raised the question, I'll check it out this weekend.
This is great, George! Impressive colours and fabulous composition. Nicely done. :)
If you have a moment, would you mind please explaining what you mean by "sunny 16 rule"? I've never heard of that and I'd be interested to know all about it.
