Hahaha.
Of course I can't spell it correctly in my question. It was late, I was in a pub, I was drinking. Besides, I'm a writer not an editor.
I only discovered that spelling by encountering a bar here in Ballard called The Reading Gaol--and subsequently Wilde's poem:

You can spell it however you like; the important part is not to end up in one.

Gaol is the tru English way to spell it or at least that's my story and I am stickin to it ..I just turned 56 the other day and I aint gonna change on that one!!!! kekeke

They still spell jail goel? I thought that was historical only. Ok. Anyway, I had all of my baby teeth pulled (probably two at a time) to "make room" for my adult teeth. How's that, eh? I know that chair.
