THE most moving place in our country. Of course, maybe I feel that way because my brother is on that wall.

I have never seen a "bad" picture of the wall. Very nice in black and white, which is typically the best for this somber place. I like it better than the color version.

For those that don't know, many people, including the girl in the background, take rubbings of the etched names. I don't know the story on what the kid is doing but my first impression is that he is playing, not making a rubbing. I could be wrong. I have to say, if he is playing, that is offensive to me. It's not a playground. It is a place to come and cry.

It is 40 years next week that I lost my brother to that insane war. And next weekend, I will be with the men who were fighting with him when he died. http://www.operationhastings.com is my brother's memorial site that I built based on what I have found out. Semper Fi

Should have written more in the about - this would be an obvious site to the USA people.

This is the Vietnam Memorial in Washington, DC. Inscribed on it's black surface are the dead and missing by date of disappearance.

Excellent work, for me the b&w version works better!

Decisive moment here. I like how both your subject, AND the out-of-focus visitor in the background are both touching the wall.

Well seen. Capturing the children playing with this wall has made an intriguing image, I like the shapes they have made and the fun they are having, as well as the fun you must have been having photographing them. Cathy
