I don't mind the telephone poles/lines in this, as they compliment the row of trees and the rails, I think it just makes it a stronger image. When I saw the thumbnail, I mistakenly thought this was black and white - I think I would prefer it that way. Nice shot.

Nice mood William. Frustrating telephone lines do get in the way of many nice subjects. Maybe you could go back and cut the poles down?...tempting isn't it..:)...Good shot nonetheless.

I love this shot. I am very big on fog and the way it hides things while creating moods. Good work.

Artie,

You are right on. I was so taken with tracks disappearing into the fog and the trees that I didn't "see" the pole and wires.

When I tried to take out the pole and wires using PhotoShop something was missing. Goodfeedback

Realy moody concept, composition is split in 1/2 resulting in unbalance.
The eye is forced to look at either the telephone pole or the tracks due to the pole being central and tall and the tracks running straight back into the frame.
Look at this image with everything from the pole and left cropped out.
If you get the opportunity to revisit this location consentrate more on the tracks and the enviornment as it relates to the tracks.
Good concept here William, again well thought out.......Keep it up.

I tried this and the New Mexico ladder in black and white.

I like them both, both ways.

Thanks for the suggestions, I would have never thought to convert either one of these.

Once I saw this I had to see what it looks like in Photoshop as a black and white. I desaturated it and it looks wonderful. I know not everyone will agree, but I think it looks like an excellent print once it is in black and white.

Circles in fog not on original. I would guess it has something to do with the jpeg compression. - Bill
