About Dedicated to my new cat-loving friend Alicja Gozdzik.
I found this cat, probably hit a few days earlier by a car, its hind leg broken, half starved. At first it shied away, but day after day I gave it cat-food & water, it started to gain weight, reacted to my calling it & I hope it to survive.

Hello Rafi, Sorry to hear about your failed attempt and the unrest in your country. I suggest that when you plan to catch the cat you should let it go hungry so that he will walk into a trap set with food. I know how hard it is because I have spent hours trying to do just that a few years ago. They're very smart and cautious. The more times you failed the less likely you will be able to capture him/her. By the way, here's my email: andree.lerat@gmail.com

Have a good weekend. Hope for the best and that war may be avoided. Cheers, Andree

Thanks for asking, dear Andree.
Unfortunately the cat was too clever for the cat-catcher & escaped. It's 18.00 Hrs here now, I fed the cat twice today, a little in the morning, expecting it to be caught today & then again just now, as the cat-catcher was busy all day. As you might have heard, we have a mini-war going on here.
I'm, of course, too old to be directly effected, but Rachel (my wife-I'll tell you the whole story when I can contact you directly) her son, a major paramedic, might e drafted, as might the cat-catcher. Right now catching the cat is scheduled for next week (tomorrow is weekend here & we don't want to leave the cat over the weekend in a cage at the senior vet's clinic.) I may have told you that our tenant is a junior vet & he's my consultant. I feel very bad about the issue dragging on for so long, with the constant danger of the cat being hit again by a car & also because the people in whose yard it lives are not too fond of cats.
In the meantime I keep feeding it as well as a clan of another 7-8 grown up cats who live in a small park across the street from the house we live in. Those are also fed by others, so we give them meat from a can, which they like very much, once a week. All this, of course, beside our own cat, Ginger.
Have a nice weekend, dear Andree,
Rafi

Bless you and keep up that special attention to the kitty. She'll need it more now than ever until she is on the mend. Cats love to sleep in boxes so this might give her a place to rest comfortably. Lots of tender love and care, plenty of rest and plenty of food and water and with a great veterinarian, hope she be well on the mend very soon. Will be thinking of you both and hope you get good news.

The poor little thing. I hate to see animals suffer. He is lucky that you came along and are helping him out. You will have him now as a loyal pet.

You're very welcome to my dedication. Thank you again for your comment on my "Injured cat." I've been visiting it daily & feeding it for several days now & it seems to be doing relatively well. Tomorrow night our tenant, a veterinary, will see it & decide how it can best be helped.
Best regards,
Rafi
