Thanks, Cathy! I exposed to control the highlight and then did some shadow adjustment in photoshop - just enough to introduce some sense of detail in the bark. I am very happy with my D200 - could not ask for better!

Beautifully exposed. With this much light I would expect a couple of hot spots that had burnt out. Did this image need work or did the camera handle it well? I notice you have a D200. I'm still finding my way around mine but I love it! How about you? Cathy
