If you'd call this one "flowers on a coffin" I would've believed it too, and that's also what makes this photo so intriguing; that ambiguity between a rather pleasand and a rather depressing atmosphere is a very thin line, making this photo very powerful.
Except for the bit of grass visible through the bench, which creates a distraction in the feel and narrative element of this photo, breaking that strong tension between life and death.
Not sure if I put too much importance on it. It might also be "just a nice photo" - meant in the most positive way possible, without the whole intention of creating the ambiguity in it. It's just the feeling I get when looking at this photo - perhaps taking it too far.
