Often the partial color/b&w images are pointless and dull. You have here an image that leaps off the screen and makes demands. Very nicely thought out and executed.

This reminds me of a similar project I did as a kid for my "Photography" project in 4-H. My subject was a potted plant however. You've give this idea your stamp of originality by mixing b&w and color and it works very well.
