The difference of lighting at the top and at the rest of the building gives it something almsost "divine"! And the details of architecture do the rest in order to make it a very nice photo.
Perhaos cropping the grey wall at the bottom could further improve it?
Best wishes,
Nick

Wow...they must have a wonderful treatment method if they still have old soldiers in residence from the late 17th century :-) Interesting shot, Dave, and that golden dome really stands out in the picture. Nicely done! Larry.

Hi, Andre, thanks for the comment! You're right, I did resize it smaller than usual by mistake, I had been emailing some other images, and had the smaller size on the brain. That's what happens when you do things in a hurry! Thanks for the heads up! Dave.

What a brilliantly ornate looking dome. Such majestic architecture. The whiter band of clouds running horizontally at the same level as the dome gives this a surreal, larger than life feel. Nice work. Kelly

Hi Dave, This is a really good quality shot with nice exposure in the building and the sky. However I feel you are doing yourself an injustice by posting it in a small size. The compression has made the lines zagged. I don't know if this will work for you or not. I always find my best posting method to be re-size the image to approx 800x800 ahead of time in Photoshop, before I work on it. I find if I do that then Usefilm's compression doesn't effect the image in any surprise ways. I know this image will not show the jagged linesis when viewed larger. Andre

You really had bad luck with the weather, Dave. I can see that you adapted the perspective to avoid toppling lines, but therefore the whole building gets a different proportion and appears smaller than it really is.
