Hi Howie,
Wonderful scene again, but two things strike me as rather out of style; the tell tale white halo around the mountains (especially on the right) indicating either a rather heavy use of the shadow / highlight feature of Photoshop CS, or a rather wide feather in order to dodge the mountains / darken the sky. Still, I think the contrasts in this photo is a bit high, considering the dark tones of the mountains and the relatively bright reflection. I think if you'd mask a bit more careful, the tones and details in the mountains are fairly easy to revive without the halo / gradient. Think it worked out well in the rock in the foreground...:)
Very good photo, though, lots of potential in it, waiting - or better: screaming to be released.
Cheers,
Hugo
PS: I hear you. 5am can be very therapeutic - so scerene and tranquil you actually start feeling the silence... Love that feel.

Very beautiful and great capture of the sun reflecting in the water. I normally get up early but sit and drink coffee, maybe will have to find someplace to take that coffee cup in the morning.

That's rather nice... but it's the first time I've heard 5am being described as "theraputic". At this time of year I stick to sunsets! LOL
Re 50 - 500 Sigma. Have you looked at the Canon 100 - 400? Much better lens, though costs a little (!) bit more. You get an extra stop of light, image stabiliser, excellent optics. Downside is that people thing you are playing a trombone with the push pull action, and worst of all it's bright white and causes people to stop you at the zoo too oooh and ahhhh over it. I sold my 50 - 500 Sigma, but wouldn't part with my 100 - 400...yet.
