I quickly browsed your portfolio but only have time for one quick comment and then I need to run. Three thumbnails in particular stuck out for me waves, unknown flower, and this shot.
I like this one for the colors. The muted colors give this a dreamy feel and the comp gives it very strong visual interest.
Just noticed that we use the same camera (at least this camera is the same as my primary camera).

This is a nice wild flower which blooms at this season. We have plenty
in these mountains. Very nice color
Regarding your suggestion to use multiple f/stops. Yes I like it but not use much.

What draws me to this image is the painterly like quality produced by the shallow dof ...beautiful colors and an excellent composition

I like the aura around the flower in the foreground. It is an interesting effect. Was it intentional?
I do have to say that the amount of blur in this photo is a little distracting. I do love the colors, though.
