Hi, Gayle. I logged out and came back in without even registration and there was no link attached to the word "handheld." It looks as if your heartcry was heard and acted on very quickly. BTW I am SO glad I visited. This is a lovely image even if you did have to do a bit of PS work on it. [grin]

Yeah,i can appreciate the colors of an "as i saw it" beauty of a scene, but other tonings are more emotive to me,too...when i first picked up a 35mm camera,it was a manual Mamiya and all i shot was B/W,so monochromatic tonings are still my fave... Thanks for feedback!

I don't feel this is a strong a message as the Litho'd one. I love the colors and light, though. The shimmer of light far out on the lake also makes this very interesting.
Best wishes, Dave

Gayle, I think if I have to choose between the three, I would go with this one as the most effective. The sepia and other effects in the third post somehow don't really do it for me. The second post seems to be a little too flat. This one seems just right, in a classic sense. Maybe just a little trim off the bottom would be even better for a true widescreen landscape. This lake reminds me so much of the area where our summer cottage is. Very similar rolling hills and scenery. Andre

I like the exposure, and the framing makes me fill in the sky based on what you show me in its reflection. Good job, Gayle.

My fav of the three Gayle. I like the additional pink tones in this one, and the greens are so vivid! (Horizon is straight, too ')) Nicely done! Kathy

Hard to critique images as lovely as these without sounding all gushy :) This appears to be the darkest of the three, but I have to wonder if that's true or simply because there's more darker elements here (shadows, debris etc) Yeah, an almost twilight ambience. Nice one...
