I think you're right on all points - unsure what the white spot is.

Len, this is a nice shot, however, IMO I would like to be able to see what the child is standing on as the father is not holding him in the air. Also the fathers hair is lost in the back ground and there is a white spot above his head that is somewhat distracting.
