Think it's a really small piece of processed bird food. I blew it up quite a bit, it's almost crescent shaped. I have no clue, but check it out. Thanks again for the comments.

Ah yes, now that I've brightened my monitor a bit, there IS a lot more definition in the log. What is that bright white speck in the middle of it?

Hey Guys,
THanks for the comments. Marc has a pretty good understanding of what I was going after. It's a study of contrasts, Solid log verses the smooth water. I could have shot this quicker, using flash, no polarizer, etc... but decided not to. Wasn't the effect I wanted. I think non-blurred would distract from the log.

Definition is there I think. In terms of light/dark, I could have opened up another stop. I am always nervous about washing out the colors on the water. I think I was probably pushing it as is as the white in the top right looks awful bright to me.

Thanks guys for commenting, always appreciated.

Hi, I like this shot a lot, i think the point is the steady log amid the rushing water. Good job capturing that. Besides that, it could have been exposed a bit more, imho it seems a tad dark.
Cheers, Marc

I licked. But it needed a little definition more than.

John, I like the shot, good focus and exposure on the log, however I think the movement of the water is a little too much. I think a faster shutter would bring out a little definition and sharpness in the stream. I all depends on what you were going for, maybe you wanted this contrast in focus.
