Thanks for your assessment, Hugo, very good points. I played with the exposure question quite a bit in post, and I'm also on the fence about it.
The lighting element that initially struck me was the way the construction lights (each compartment has one neon light in the ceiling) gradate from bright at the top to dim at the bottom, by virtue of the viewing angle. This is what I was trying to capture and as you can see, it came across better in some buildings than others.
Well composed scene and quite an appealing subject. Also, the image quality is very nice.
The only thing I feel a bit ambiguous about is the exposure, it seems a bit short on the shutter, removing the outlines of the buildings and obscuring the peripheral elements in the foreground. On the other hand, using only the lights to sketch the outlines is a creative approach, and it does make the image nicely abstract, in which the hard contrast and tonal range works well. Also, a slower shutter might've made the overexposure in the highlights mor ofa distraction than an addition. - this rather mixed feeling does make it a very intriging image - Nice!
