Your eye is good Zandra. It is a deck railing in the snow. I couldn't resist as the light and dark interacted so well with each other.

Wonderfull shadows Lex. I'm a bit amazed. When viewing the thumbnail i thought it was a bed standing a bit away from the wall. In the large version it looks like it could be a railing of some sort, and snow. OK, living in the cold north, i'll bet my name on that it is snow and it works as an excelent back drop for this shadow.

David, sorry it has taken so long to get back to you. Holidays have kept me swamped. This image is actually snow on the deck railing at the back of my house during one of those blissfully sunny but cold days of winter in the Midwest. The image was cropped this way to obliterate the pure white backdrop of snow piled high in the yard. I hope that makes sense now.

Very nice- simple and effective. I'd like to see a little more empty space at the top (above the headboard, if that's what it is).
