Hi Amitava. Unfortunately I only spent a couple of days in Xi'an. There's lots to see and do there but I rushed myself for no good reason. Most definitely want to visit the city again and spend more time there.
These images are fine but would love to get there with my D200 and shoot them in RAW, the improvement would be substantial I think.
Thanks for the comment ~ James

Very nice shot. Thanks for sharing this. This is indeed one of the greatest archaeological finds of the last century. These were intended to guard the burial site of the first emperor to unite China. The actual tomb is yet to be located in the complex. Also amazing is the story of how a visiting American scientist found the cure for the fungus that was invading the images after they were unearthed.

It's funny how you can go to the same place and almost take same picture...we were lucky, and you too, as I heard that some time ago they did not allow pictures inside. Your picture is excellent. Congratulations for your portfolio. saludos.

Wow! I love the angle you chose here, the light and the selective focusing! They look almost like real people!

Great shot and clarity especially since you had to hold the camera under low light. I couldn't do it without a tripod, I don't think. I read an article about this last year. It's an amazing story. It had to be amazing to be there for yourself. Regards, Gina

I think I actually like this one better. I like the side view, and the shallow dof. Both are very strong images! Great work!
