....my (not so) trusty digital camera is at the doctor, this image came from the front paddock, early morning, a few weeks ago....patterns in nature can be amazing, a grass head catches the sunlight and the spider web creates quite an intriguing background......don't really know what it means but, well, here it is!....this was achieved with an aperture sensitive automatic setting with manual focus, auto focus is fine but it sees what IT wants to. see....manual is more fun.
What a splendid photo David! Between dream and nature, an angle beautiful, control of the highlights excellent and naturally the in and out focus ... I add it to my favs.
G'day Rina, sometimes simply looking through the lens, panning around and focusing on whatever, produces remarkable images.....the point of it, I suppose, is to draw out what we know is there but don't always see, the patterns and colors evoke feelings.....I have noticed that a lot of the really striking photographs are of things seen through other things and unlike with our eyes, we have the ability, with a camera, to emphasise the subject of our gaze while blurring out the surrounds or the background, how good is that?...I have been practising it in real life, works pretty well too! thanks for your words, always good to hear from you. cheers, david.
Like the way your mind works. This is utterly magical. Here, even unfocused, the web is as compelling as the focused grass. Don't really know what it means either, but what an intriguing piece of photography. Makes me wonder how many times I've focused in on something in the foreground, completely missing the beauty beyond...
