Megan, this made me smile... Was in Brissy for xmas and my folks have the same tree outside their place. Very cute.

Well done with the exposure. The only thing I would suggest to you, is to use a tripod for these types of shots - if you can that is... It'll eliminate the movement blur you get with handhelds.

Thanks for your comment to me. The girl in the photo is my 16 year old daughter Ally. I'm trying to encourage her to pick up the camera, but at the moment she's only interested in looking cool and scoping the boys...

interesting with the light and dark.

you can just see enough of the house to hopefully see its a xmas decoration?

with digital you can just keep shooting.
