Congratulations Giuseppe for Featured Critique of the Day.
It is good chance to write more about how I take floral photos.
I usualy take floral phtos at garden/meadow or... at my window. In the last place the background is usually the sky (it goes on white due to exposure I chose to show transaparancy of petals). Here I did otherwise, in the window but in the background there are cars parked in the street (white circles are just reflections of the sun in cars). It looks like that thanks to a very shallow DOF (focal lenght was 200 mm what gives for E300 400 mm). In front of flowers (very, very close to my camera, and out of focus) there was yet another flower - dracaena.

I love the way the reflections of light coming off the cars follows the shape and contour of the flowers - to me, that's what makes this image special. It gives it a really graphic quality while being firmly rooted as a photograph. Beautifully handled exposure - you lose some detail in the highlights, but I think that's okay here, with it being generally high-key and graphic. Cool stuff.

Monika, since I admire your beautiful flowers in a white background I am often thinking about my background, quite inverted. I am considering to experiment your way. The picture, splendid once again: a dreamy image of flighing tulips made of pure trasparent lights. Another photo of yours in My Favorite Images. Have an happy Sundays Monika.

OMG Monika, what a flower, what beautiful soft toned colors and what a glorious fantasy of lights. A gift I never got, a sweet one, the flowers that will never wither the colors that will never fade the lights that never dim. Very precious gift indeed - a gift of friendship. Thank you, n.j

You have managed to get a crisp photograph while creating a soft tone, making this quite unique. The crispness shows off the detail in the flower, while the soft tone gives the photograph an intimate feel. Nice capture.
