This was taken at a restaurant with the afternoon sun providing a silhouette. I then used Corel Photo-Paint 10 to posturize the photo for a more dramatic effect.
Martin, I am very grateful for your added comment. You touched me. Sometimes I feel that the emotional or sensitive side of myself is my biggest weakness and that it shows in my photos. I am starting to realize that perhaps one day, it could be my greatest strength. We are not just technical beings, bad or good, we capture time.
Dear Teresa: My sympathy's on your loss. I am so sorry to know of such a burden as the loss of a child in your life. My prayers are with you. I have seen the original, and must say I like it much better. While there are a few distractions in the background, it brings out much more personal feelings in me for Olivia as I feel I can really see her, as opposed to the manipulated one where I felt Olivia was hidden behind a mask. I look forward to seeing more from you. Shyfox
Thank you, for your comment. You are right. Upon looking at the original, (cropped), photo, I really had no need to dramatize the lighting effect. She is an angel. That is my reality and my photo's reality. My photos are personal. I'm glad you did get personal and thank you for the encouragement.
Dear Teresa: The title make me think the girl has passed away. I hope I'm wrong. The photo is just a too bleached out for me to appreciate. As well, I think it may be too dramaticaly efected for my tastes. It looks like there was great eye contact from the lass, and I like your cropping. Maybe it's just my tastes, but I personaly think perhaps it's a little over-done. But thats just my opinion. Please don't take it personaly. Shyfox P.S. keep shooting!
