Well ALL rules are meant to be broken, hehehehe...Yes you do have the dune buggy in the thirds..but it you divide the image in thirds from the top to bottom....then divide into thirds from left to right, (like a tic tac toe template) ....you want to place your subject in one of the areas where the lines intersect, in this case the if you cropped off a bit on the right, your dunebuggy would be at that bottom right intersection...but it's great as it is too, my dear....now the other picture is perfect because you can technically use a centered horizon when you have the same or as much interest on top and on the bottom, and you do in that image...it's fantastic!! I agree with you Larry, I don't always follow the rules either and I think if we can't be flexible, we're missing something...hugs!!!

I always listen to you I'm just not trainable...I guess since the subject is in the lower third I abided by the rule....Generally I view the overall presentation for it's merits and tend not to pay much attention to rules...check this one and a similar comment I received...My response was the goal of the framing was to show the complete double image which the rule of 3rds would have prevented...let me know what you think afterward ....Your support is greatly appreciated always...Thanks...here's the photo...

Great mood and colors Larry. I was in SJ and the sea was really upset today and I enjoyed watching the white caps and waves washing in...didn't have my camera though...I like the waves washing in, a beautiful view...I've been hitting the fifth's again cuz I think I might be tempted to take a bit off of the right to fit the dunebuggy into the rule of thirds...but you never listen to me anyway, and what do I know anyway I can't even remember to take my camera...hehehehe...great work, hugs!!
