Great timing to catch that husk falling from his mouth. I read what Hugo ssaid and I agree that the FG a little out of focus is distracting. However, it is a beautiful shot. AMry

Hi Hugo,
Thanks for the constructive comments. I happen to agree with you about the peanut. I was sitting at a very busy feeder on an overcast day. I was forced to use settings less than ideal (or I have yet to learn to change settings quickly). I was using ISO 400 and trying to keep a decent shutter speed, so I was only at f:8. Worked great for most situations. I think I tend to underexpose too much as well.
I appreciate you taking the time to visit my pics. I have seen your profile as well and, seeing your level of competence, I am please you gave an honest and useful critique.

Hi Todd,
Nice shot, and a good scene with the munchies in the foreground. Maybe the DOF is a bit shallow, the foremost peanut seems a bit out of focus, and I think it would've been nice to have that one in focus too. Good contrasts, and a very good timing, capturing the shells fallen from his beak in mid air. Nice touch!
Cheers,
Hugo
