Wonderful .. that little inclination at the top is doing the thing here .. the faint red and yellow colours really add to this scene ..

I'm glad that you liked it.
In the metaphor "reading between the lines" it seems that the empty is supposed to be a space where the intention of the writer might be extrapolated by the reader.
In this picture, the "lines" are there to occupy as much as possible of the surface and, despite the fact, the life passes through. Hence the opposition of the functions of "line".
Well! This is one kind of interpretation...
