About The itsy bitsy spider ... crawled up the water spout.
Down came the rain ... and washed the spider out.
Out came the sun ... and dried up all the rain.
And the itsy bitsy spider ...crawled up the spout again.

Spider Facts:
1. The weight of insects eaten by spiders every year is greater than the total weight of the entire human population.
2. The combined length of thread in a spider's web is about 20-60 m and it can take the spider up to 3 hours to make an average sized web.
3. On an equal weight basis, spider silk is twice as strong as steel and very elastic.
4. Spiders are not insects, insects have bodies with three main parts (head, thorax, abdomen) while spiders have only two main body parts (a combined head and thorax; the cephalothorax; and the abdomen).
5. spiders have eight simple eyes.
6. All spiders are carnivorous, most of them eat insects but a few (of the larger species) are big enough to prey on small vertebrate animals like mice or small birds.

Camera settings: 1/60 sec - f/45 - ISO 200 - FL 105mm - Ring Flash.

They are fascinating and scary at the same time. I had a spider enjoying the warmth of my neck once and i sat still to not scare it .... after 30 minutes it disappeard ...sounds incredible. That was not a deadly poison one, but enough to make me sit still. It was owned by a friend so i could just throw it away either....

Nice capture of this one!
