Hi Simone, Very creative idea, and well carried out. The DOF is well chosen too.
A few suggestions, I think if you'd rotated the map a bit, the red coordinate lines would run at an angle, which would "mask" the distortion of the lens (or un-flat surface of the map, more likely). I think this would increase the impact of this photo.
Also, the image looks a bit smudgy on my screen. I think this is due to the scan, though.
Overall, I like the composition of this photo a lot, and it's a great idea! Very well done!
