Klaus: The quality of the light here, especially of the clouds, evokes a mystical atmosphere, very dreamlike, that takes the viewer to another place that is peaceful, tranquil, and timeless. Great image. Anson

Nice IR tones, Klaus. It is effectively surreal and in that sense the centred tree does not bother me. I like the composition but can also see the merits for trying different angles - you may have done so? Eb
Hi Klaus, Very well handled IR photo, and a good scene for IR too. I do believe you could've made more of the composition, though. To me, it's a bit centered, which makes the photo more static than is needed. I think either (or better, both)) a lower camera position, using the foreground as a more dominant subject or (and) a point of view more towards the tree on the right, thus placing the main subject (i.e. the tree in the middle) out of the center of the frame would produce a much more challenging and better balanced composition.
I do like the contrast and tonal range, though. The dark, almost black area in the lower left corner is well balanced with the patch of blue sky, and the two trees on the left and right create a good framing of this photo. Nice shot!
