Prendo una delle tue ultime foto per farti i complimenti per il tuo portfolio. Ho avito solo ora il tempo di darci un occhiata e sono rimasta affascinata dal lavoro di studio della cromia e composizione. Eli:-))

I love the subject and composition, Alberto. The sky is really eerie. It makes me think of clouds hovering above some alien planet. I do feel that the roughness of the subject and surrounding landscape is fighting with the smooth clarity of the sky and water, as though they came from different scenes entirely. I think that perhaps sharpening the picture a bit would bring the subject into greater focus and unite the scene more as a whole. Below is a rough stab at doing this. It's well worth playing with this photo, which is basically absolutely super. Steve

The strength here lies not just in the composition, at least in my opinion. This photo has a mixture of very good composition and a good BW work. The BW adds a lot to the composition; perhaps the same photo would not be so attractive in full color. The girl is located in the center of the frame. The wall behind her adds an interesting perspective that in my case gently drives my eye towards the infinity that is pointed by the sky and the sea. The sky and the sea seem to “go” in the same direction, which together with the wall behind the girl are a whole that moves from the forefront of the photo to a point far away on the distance placing the girl in a continuum.

Evocative image that draws me in. The composition and exposure control are exceedingly well done, thou I find my eye alternately drawn to the woman then the wall because it is such a strong element in the composition. You could darken or blur the wall slightly, but that might not be an improvement. In any event, I like it as it is. - Mister Ken

the strength here lies in the composition with all the lines, from the wall, the beachline, the cloudline all pointing towards the center where the girl sits on the bench. On the one hand I like that everything is sharp and in focus. but still I have the feeling the girl is a bit to much out of focus because of it. And because that is where the attention goes too, It might be a miss. I don't know if it would work better with the girl more in focus or if that's even possible. But I wanted to give you the most nitpicky critique I could. It's an excellent portrait and the set-up is fantastic. You get sucked into the photo, which is what you want from a good photo. wishing you where there and you're pulling us in with this one, congrats
