Anson,thanks for the compliment re talented photographer,you are talented too.
You know your IR stuff re WB I used Flourescent
on the D7 and flourescent+3 on D70.
Have you tried cutting down the contrast & the saturation on the camera setting?

Robert: Sure do. And even at 2.8 sometimes there is a hint of a spot, depending upon how bright the light is. Adding a polarizer seems to help, but shutter speeds become objectionable. Thanks for the nice words, Robert, especially from such a talented photographer as yourself. Anson

Classic Anson IR color shot.Well done.
Do you get a hotspot with the S9000?
Just curious because with the dimage7 Ihad to shoot wide open or else a very strong hotspot.

Chuck: If you haven't done "false color" digital IR yet I must tell you that it is not totally straightforward. One very important aspect is setting the white balance on the camera, which I set to 2700 deg. Some RAW file programs will let you change it post capture, no matter what. Lots of fun playing with it though. Anson
