Hi Hugo! yes, I've taken this shot in summer (august). it was very hot (48° Celsius) but places were beautiful. we didn't want to lose the occasion to see death valley however,
although the temperature was extreme :)

Hi Eleonora, shot during the summer, heh? Must've been suffocatingly hot! Excellent shot of the stovepipe dunes. the lines and the blue mountain backdrop make for a classic image. Very good view!

this is a magic photo ,sand dunes in the forgound and montains on the background and both expoused perfectly ,I would have that image to teach through it what a perfect photograph is .beautiful and very plesent image , all of the best my friend ......

hi Steve,
this is a real shot. a characteristic of Death Valley are these odd blue rocky mountains behind the softly sand dunes.
I've give only a little high pass with photoshop levels, to emphasize details of sand.

Interesting variation in colour here - is that as shot or a composite?
Great contrast and detail in the fg - the blue haze gives an odd 'cool' feel to the hottest place on earth!!!
