best regards, Winfried

Very nice composition, Petal. Other than Fabio I like the rails not being horizontal. It gives the picture more tension, when you know what I mean.

Yes, it's a passing gull. I didn't even notice it 'till after I uploaded the pic, but I doubt I would've cloned it out if I saw it before... it's a living thing in a 'stark' surrounding and it gives some sense of measure as well.... ;-D!! Thanks for your comment!! BTW it's right on the border of a B&W shot, because it is a color shot... I hope you still like it now... LOL!!!

Dear Fabio,
I would have to rebuild the riverwall with railing and all for that to happen... because bridge and wall meet at an angle. I could give it a try but I don't think the counsil would let me... LOL. But I see what you mean, I briefly considered leaving it (the railing) out were it not that it gives scale and depth...
Reagards, Petal.

Petal,
This is a beautiful photograph! I like very much seeing the rail at a different angle to give the bridge some serious scale! The tone, and contrast is wonderful! It right on the border of a color photograph, and that what makes this one of my favorites of yours! Very powerful, and delicate image!
is that a bird up there on the right?
well done!
cheers, -Joel
