We hear these guys at the lake in the summer but they are illusive to find. Marvelous shot. The pose is grand showing the character in his face and the details of his feahters.

Looks like he just woke up! I hope these guys come back to our area like they did last year. We had lots of Barred Owls and a few Great Greys visiting for a while in February.

What I want to know is how do you get your birds to all sit at the end of a branch, stick, pole etc etc?? :) Very VERY beautiful shot this Darlene - you're a master with the birds!!

Excellent title for an outstanding shot. Do like these little guys - but this one really stands out with that glowing yellow/green with a touch of orange background. He looks a little ruffled, but not as bedraggled as the Wet One! (Still my favorite - along with the rabbit muncing on the purple flowers. LOL Jan
