Thanks for all your words Dennis. These shots (along with a few older ones in my profile) are from a round glass lantern. The lantern has cones inside it and the lighter fluid is poured inside and runs through the cones. I decided one day just to shoot this against the light coming through the patio window. This particular shot had a lot of imperfections from the glass and the way it was blown. I liked the way the orange effect was achieved after converting it to a negative....I should attach the original so people can see the colors from the start.

Of the three macro shots of glass that I've seen from you John this is my least favorite, but I can't put my finger on why. Perhaps it is the not so subtle colours or the change from more distinct to less distinct shape and form - almost like they are parts of two different shots. But this is all subjective - nice to see the camera being used in a creative visionary way.
