Thanks Larry I had thought of taking the top off, I guess in my mind the size of this particular area-3 acres, the raw shot its self was cropped considerably already! Lol :O) Yip our Thermal Region is well known to us kiwis also because the lakes in these regions are crater lakes and are big for the trout fishing! Regards

I love textured nature shots, this one I think would be more dramatic if you cropped out the blurred background, doesn't add to the drama in the foreground. Reminds me of thinks you would see in Yellowstone, must be the S. Hemisphere version.

Thanks Ace, it was fun to be had for sure!! I planned to shoot pics of this place for my xmas holiday and rewarding it was in many ways! :O) I have loads of abstract pics of these thermals, also in mind, Patterns In Nature, and a greater respect for our planet as to how volatile it can be! Regards )

Hi ya Pete! yeah I sure did all of the above, Ian was quite handy as my model in my shots... yet to come. I did use the polarizer plenty as the sky and clouds were often grey and dull. I dont think anyone would have been game to model in these pools as they are very toxic!! Cheers Pete :O)
