You are going to be spending so much time in the air, you might as well just tell us on your photos. Your portraits always are excellent. Did he want his skin left the way it is? Adds a lot of character to the portrait. Also, I have to look more than twice at this. It looks so much like someone I know. But that is just a personal point to me on this photo.
One tiny thing, I am not too sure about the inner almost black border. I could do without that part. It adds a bit to much darkness to top and bottom and is not the same shade of black, quite, as the background. I find myself scrolling to try to crop that out, especially on the bottom.

Wow. Agreed. Do you need a student? I would love to learn how to capture such photos. Gosh, I have so much to learn it is almost overwhelming! I love the shot, really. Great expression and yes, killer eyes as Andrew said.

Wow, very nice Verna. I like the close crop because it makes you really study the man's face closely. Those eyes are magnificent yet again. Do you need a student? :)
