About This shot represents a couple of firsts. The first time this model had ever posed for a picture other than a yearbook picture in school. It was also the first time I've ever worked with a posed model.

Nick is an actor in the movie I have been working on and this shot will be used as the publicity shot of him that is included with all press kits.

You took what you knew from other areas of photography into this new element--so, it's not all luck. Great dapture of his expression and stance. It will be a great advertisement for the film. The B&W and the uncomplicated background suit this well.

I like this one too- his face could be sharper- just select it and run the unsharp mask at about 2 or so. It is a perfect look for what you intended- the bare feet and perplexed look he has...the minimal surroundings. Well done, Mark. Get out there and shoot some more portraits- you'll come to love it in no time!

Congratulations on your continuing movement in photographic work, Mark! This is a very evocatively posed shot and I can see why it would be used.
Dave.
