At the edge of the "Lustgarten" (Pleasure Garden) sits the Berlin Cathedral (Berliner Dom) - built in 1893-1905 on the site of an earlier cathedral church. The cathedral was badly damaged in the Second World War and restored in the 1970s.
I took a series of pictures in Spring 2004 with the little Canon S400. Whit the help of PTGui, I was able to assemble this panorama. I was tempted to digitally eliminate the TV tower/observation tower in the back, but then it is right there.
Picture details: Six portrait pictures with a resolution of 1704x2272 each. Exposure was 1/640s or 1/800s with an aperture of 3.5 and automatic ISO determination by the camera. PTGui was used to create a 8233x2316 panorama.
A very fine panorama, Jurgen. You learn quickly! And you have a great natural eye for the panorama format. Did you see some of the GREAT panoramas in the new PTGui gallery? Wow!!!
This gives a wonderful feeling of space and is a great portrayal of this church (although I don't like that square block of a building on the right!) John
