Your first image, just a few days ago. Very nice and a really nice scene. We do not have that much fog around my area except on extended spells of rain. Excellent shot. About BUDWINE-Yes, I remember seeing it and drink9ing it as a kid. My memory might be wrong, but it seems like I saw some BUDWINE not so long ago. It did taste unique.

Hi Gayle and congratulations to you for the FP critique to Hugo. I love fog shots, and this one's beautiful in full color, amazing reflections and dream-like softness - like a painting. I miss Neal's presence on UF since he's left, and hope one day he'll return. Well, I'm happy he's seen your beautiful image and dedication! Best regards, Ina

Hi Gayle, nice tribute to Neil, you are right about the fog, a tough one to make changes to, you did well on this one, the crop and vignette are very pleasing, giving it a timeless fell, very nice. Thanks for the comment on"Love", tried to get more last night, but no good luck. Hope your holiday season is joyful and calm, keep on shooting, your friend, Cary

I'm not sure how this system works now so I don't know if Gayle will get this comment in her email or if you will or maybe both. Anyway I am doing a reply to you NEal because I wanted to wish you a Happy Birthday. If I'm late a happy Belated Birthday. Anyway I hope it is or was an enjoyable day for you.
Nice dedication Gayle. Beautiful moody colours. Love the ambience of this image. Great DOF and the soft focus adds an air of mystery indeed as pointed out already by Neal. Very nice to view. Great work Gayle. A winner in my book.
Wishing all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Cheers - Ann :)

Very pretty Gayle. (Happy Birthday Neal!) Is this somewhere local? It's a great capture. The fog has presented lots of opportunities for interesting photos lately. We certainly have had our share. The colors are gorgeous.

Thank you so much Gayle. I'm honored by your generous compliments. I've been standing back while this site settles down. Can't say I like the new format. I sure like your picture though. Like so much of your work it combines beauty and mystery in a very appealing way. And there's always a low-level threat back there in the darkness to keep things exciting. Beautiful job. Thank you.

Nice "first upload" Gayle! The colors are so rich and deep. I'm not real crazy about the darkness on both sides, but that's just MO. I know what you mean about tweaking fog shots. With some of the ones I have taken I had to decide which I wanted the most...good color or emphasize the fog. Each shot is different. Anyway, this is a beautiful scene! And Happy Birthday to Neal! This is magnificent! Mysterious, dreamy, suffused with calm and sofness. The contrast of the two strong colours - green and rust - gives it warmth. It went right into my favourites! Neal is going to love it! YT
