I like this the way it is, without flash. This is how you would see this bird in the wild, this is how it was!
Wonderful photograph, the action the elegance.
And the wood has a rather strange shape, kind of like a prehistoric animal head!

the sharp bend in the wings is almost (but not quite) as dramatic as the golden light streaming in for your decisive moment, Harry. Another stunner I find myself staring at. Bravo!!

What a wonderful image.
The Only raptors we have near us are not eagles. they certainly don't have the womderful colourings of this beautiful specimen you have so excellently captured.
The lure of obtaining images of these creatures must be immense, but I congratulate you on your restraint and thinking of the welfare of the bird.
