Thanks Terri, I noticed the spot after the post. It was not in the original - sometimes artifacts turn up when you least expect it. I think it is a young Baltimore Oriole, but it lacks the black tip on the tail. Other problem is the very high contrast due to the bright sun light - makes it look like it was over processed in Photoshop. I'm going to try again on an over cast day.

I can help you here Jon .. the species is "bird"
Beautiful colours and good exposure, couple of distractions .. I think there may be dust on your sensor or points just out of focus that draw the attention. I've just removed the spots .. hope you don't mind
