Hello Roger Williams, thank you for your wonderful critique on the Common Room Panorama @ Gilbert Stuart Museum. The D200 was my 1st DSLR also. This panorama was my 1st with this camera and a Bogan panoramic head I picked up to do panoramic photography. Lighting was definitely problematic on this project and it did create some problems with noise. I used PTGui to stitch the 10 panels together to create the panorama. When I originally shot this project I didn't have access to PS CS3, Bridge CS3 or Lightroom, I have since shot some hand held panoramas and used CS3 along with Bridge CS3 to put the frames together with surprisingly good results. I have the RAW files for this pano project and I am going to redo it to see what kind of results I get using the adobe software Vs PTGui. Thank you again.
Gary

I am fascinated by stitched panoramas, and this is a good one. I must renew my lapsed donor status to see it full size. A bit hard to judge at the normal "large" size. I use the same D200 and have been disappointed with the narrow dynamic range of images (it is my first DSLR and I miss the wider latitude of film) and the high noise levels. It looks as if this subject could have given you problems in both of these areas. What stitching software do you use?
