Walt I like this a lot. Excellent choice in framing/composition. I love the contrast in tones. Her dress pops against that "whiter bench" - and pattern adds even more visual interest. The shapes of objects is just wonderful and gives strength to your photo. Love the modeling on her face -- her character really shows through...as well she's sitting on newspaper - which gives an insight to her personality. It screams "character" -- well done. great contribution to the henri-project. like the way the old woman looks, the trick for the eyes with the two horizons (the bench & the wall). textures and toning is just great, I'm just wondering why the newspaper is overexposed.

Even a blown out newspaper couldn't hurt this image. Nor the fact her right leg is hidden totally in shadows. It's the FACE! Her face draws you immediately there, from there you travel down her body. The overall picture has great tones. I love it!
