Jeanette,
I wouldn't think something as simple as an escalator could be so interesting. However, you have an uncanny ability to bring the most mundane of the everyday world into a view that really puts a new perspective on it.
I love all of your work. I find it utterly amazing that you're able to let your eye see these things so easily. How are you able to train yourself to see in such a way. It's truly remarkable. I wish you could show us how you do it.
Best Regards!

I see you have a fascination with geometrical forms and perspectives, particularly in buildings. Your kind comment on the Tokyo "eye" encouraged me to visit your portfolio, which I find fascinating. Your vision is much more selective than mine... you encourage me to look around me with new interest. Thank you!

Hi Jeanette, generally speaking, it's not easy to shoot something as "common" as this escalator. And image quality wise, I can see a few glitches, such as the slight over exposure in the steps (which I think you tried to dodge) but the angle and the feeling of depth makes up for it. In that essence, it's an awesome shot; very good point of view, staying away from the symmetry and all, without loosing the feel for the height because of the converging lines in the image. Very well done.
Cheers,
Hugo

Mine is taken at Medborgarplatsen on Söder. I don?t remember which exit though. You must be very brave, that even though take a shot like that!

Wonderful capture in difficult conditions. In another place and time, men would descend into small shafts, on their way to work in the bottom of mines, around the world. Today, the modern worker decsends into a different type of shaft, in order to get to work each day. This is what I think of, in viewing your image. Nicely done. Mark
